Take time to connect with parents at your child's childcare/school
Not only does this add some companionship to your busy day and the potential for some great long-term friendships, it also is the first step to saving you time. Some egs from my experience in terms of time savings- covering each other for a pick-up when a last minute meeting is scheduled or similar; sharing transport demands in relation to sporting and other activities; playdates - leaving you child-free (well, that child anyway). And so on and so on....
